J.Gaut was born and raised in Amarillo, Texas, and represents the fourth generation in a family with over 100 years of real estate experience in the Amarillo area.

In 1989, he formed J. Gaut & Associates Commercial Real Estate and began to specialize in the sale and leasing of commercial and investment real estate.
