J.Gaut was born and raised in Amarillo, Texas, and represents the fourth generation in a family with over 100 years of real estate experience in the Amarillo area. He is a graduate of New Mexico Military Institute and the University of Texas at Austin, where he majored in Business Administration and International Business. In 1989, he formed J. Gaut & Associates Commercial Real Estate and began to specialize in the sale and leasing of commercial and investment real estate. He received the professional Certified Commercial Investment Member (CCIM) designation in 1990, an elite distinction held by only four percent of commercial real estate practitioners and representing the successful completion of approximately 240 hours of comprehensive graduate-level training. His primary focus is in the sale of land and investment properties. Gaut has brokered numerous interstate and major thoroughfare land tracts and assists many Buyers and Sellers desiring to acquire investment properties by means of a 1031 Exchange.
